IHHS Mock Trail Teams Miami Tournament December 2018Indian Hill High School (IHHS) congratulates the 40-plus members of the two Mock Trial teams for earning both first place and second place during the Miami University Mockhawk Tournament Sunday, December 16, 2018.

“This is the fourth year in a row our Braves have competed in this event. Every prior year, our students achieved first and second place finishes – so we entered the competition with high expectations,” said IHHS Teacher and Mock Trial Sponsor Steve Reger. “Our students did not disappoint; we are exceptionally proud.”

Miami University’s Mockhawk Tournament is an intense Mock Trial invitational featuring some of the best teams from around the state. The IHHS Black Team placed first overall; the IHHS Red Team came in second. For the Black Team, IHHS Student Rena Lenchitz won an Outstanding Witness award, and IHHS Student Albert Kwon – the second highest scoring attorney in the tournament – won his 18th Outstanding Attorney award. For the Red Team, IHHS Students Radu Dragomirescu and Bethany Ison each won an Outstanding Attorney award, and IHHS Students Emma Reyering and Drew Plummer each won an Outstanding Witness award.

The IHHS Mock Trial teams compete at the University of Cincinnati Invitational on January 5, 2019.
